Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 29 August 2026. These terms apply to all services provided by TrueTone Concepts (Nigeria), including house painting, custom paint production, screeding, building supervision, and interior design.
1. Quotations & Scope of Work
All quotations are provided free of charge based on the information, photos, and measurements shared by the client, and are estimates until a site visit confirms the final scope.
Quotations are valid for 14 days from the date issued, after which prices may be revised to reflect current material costs.
Any work outside the agreed scope (additional rooms, extra coats, structural repairs discovered mid-project, etc.) will be communicated and quoted separately before proceeding.
2. Payment Terms
A non-refundable deposit is required before work begins, with the percentage confirmed at the point of quotation.
For larger projects, payment may be staged across agreed milestones (e.g. materials, midpoint, completion).
The final balance is due on completion of the agreed scope, before handover of the space.
3. Project Timelines
Estimated timelines are provided at the point of quotation and are dependent on weather, site access, and material availability.
Delays caused by the client (e.g. site not ready, access restricted, change of scope mid-project) may extend the agreed timeline without penalty to TrueTone Concepts.
Any significant delay caused by TrueTone Concepts will be communicated to the client as early as possible.
4. Materials & Paint Supply
Clients may choose to purchase their own materials or have TrueTone Concepts supply and custom-produce paint to the agreed specification.
Where materials are supplied by TrueTone Concepts, the cost is included in the quotation unless stated otherwise.
Where materials are supplied by the client, TrueTone Concepts is not responsible for defects arising from the quality of client-supplied materials.
5. Workmanship Warranty
TrueTone Concepts provides a workmanship warranty on completed painting and screeding work for a period to be confirmed at project completion, covering defects directly resulting from application (e.g. peeling, uneven finish).
This warranty does not cover damage from misuse, water damage, structural movement, or normal wear and tear.
Manufacturer warranties on paint and materials, where applicable, are separate and are the responsibility of the material manufacturer.
6. Cancellations
Clients may cancel before work begins; deposits paid are non-refundable as they cover planning, material sourcing, and scheduling.
Cancellations after work has begun will be billed for work completed and materials already purchased up to the point of cancellation.
7. Client Responsibilities
The client is responsible for providing safe, clear access to the work site and for securing valuables or fragile items in the work area.
The client is responsible for informing TrueTone Concepts of any known site hazards, structural concerns, or access restrictions before work begins.
8. Liability
TrueTone Concepts carries reasonable care in protecting furniture, flooring, and fixtures during work, using dust sheets and protective coverings as standard practice.
TrueTone Concepts is not liable for pre-existing damage, structural issues unrelated to the scope of work, or issues arising from third-party trades not engaged by TrueTone Concepts.
9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes will first be addressed through good-faith discussion between both parties before any further action.
